the veil is getting thinner eyes are seeing clearer Ubuntu's on the horizon money's an illusion, a slave-trade institution built to keep us busy and distracted for we the people have the power within our minds and it's time to wake up! so if we have all the power but they get all the paper It begs us to question who's in charge here? charlatans invading masked men masquerading open up yer eyes, it's US they work for money's an illusion intended to confuse you keep the workers busy keep 'em from their dreaming money's an illusion a slave-trade institution intended to confuse you you can't change what's written in the stars something' brewin' consciousness is stewin' cause still you got no paper and yet you push the pencil They twist the words of God to drain you of your thoughts - they squeeze 'em in a box and now they've got a product the veil is getting thinner eyes are seeing clearer Ubuntu's on the horizon money's an illusion a slave-trade institution built to keep us busy & distracted from what's hiding in plain sight if you focus, you'll see we're getting closer unity's attainable in every race and culture we really aren't that different and while we're busy bickering they pull the strings behind the scenes and no seems to speak up! money's an illusion intended to confuse you keep the workers busy keep 'em from their dreaming money's an illusion a slave-trade institution intended to confuse you you can't change what's written in the stars something' brewin' consciousness is stewin' cause still you got no paper and yet you push the pencil They twist the words of God to drain you of your thoughts - they squeeze 'em in a box and now they've got a product

we are children of fate tossed to the dogs abandoned strays our tears fall no more we've learned to seek solace in the roughest of storms though we don't weep, our wounds still bleed children of fate, we're the unwanted seeds I've been burnt at the stake, I've been walked down the plank and I've been the victim who's stoned while crying on the floor I'm biding my time, they say I'm speaking in tongues but I am nothing without all of these memories we are unwanted seeds underdogs growing our roots into trees they say we're wasting our time but we disagree and we're doing just fine though we don't weep, our wounds still bleed children of fate, we're the unwanted seeds I've been burnt at the stake, I've been walked down the plank and I've been the victim who's stoned while crying on the floor I'm biding my time, they say I'm speaking in tongues but I am nothing without all of these memories I ask, where were you then? when we were just children? I can't even imagine the logic behind your self serving deeds now we're unwanted seeds - but our roots will grow into trees with new memories...

Once upon a time, we were slaves to a machine In the land of opportunity where freedom isn't free Everyone's asleep, sedated - they don't dream and it's all the same to them when it's all they've ever seen They don't ask questions, they don't know from the hills, we watch the show... It grinds the gears against the bones Chaos thrives, it's all we know Crack the whip or haul the load Chaos thrives, It's all we know It wasn't long ago that we found the Shangri La in the midst of the insanity and chaos of it all once your mind's awake, its hard to fall asleep if you speak up any louder, you're bound to wake the beast! Once upon a time we were slaves to a machine in the land of opportunity where freedom isn't free For those who wander off and ponder the questions they won't answer: The Elements will guide you, and they will always find you Forever burns a flame by the door of Shangri La - for those who wander off seek fire in the dark with purpose comes a path, we learn to conquer void for in order to create, sometimes we must DESTROY! in the midst of the insanity that we have grown to know we'll take you to a place where the energy can flow... once upon a time we were slaves to a machine in the land of opportunity where freedom isn't free It grinds the gears against the bones for we're it's cogs and power source They're making "freedom" into fiction We've left signs and clues behind for those in search of something more and if you find these hidden doors then you'll find shelter in our haven, with minds alike yet uniquely created to manifest these vibrations as man murders Mother Earth we're the only ones we hurt For we are the machine we curse but Here's the good news, she'll forgive you For she knows that she'll out live you in another time and place for we are the machine we curse

May 7th, 1692 Dear Diary, Today when I was shopping with Mum, two guards walked a man in chains into the middle of town square... Everyone stopped to watch - I'd never heard the village so quiet before. Mum told me the man was a traitor to the Kingdom. A masked man in black walked him on to the stage and tied a rope around his neck... Mum told me it's called a noose. A guard asked the man if he had any last words. The man shouted that the war was not over, that there would be another uprising and one day things would change. He said that wisdom had been left behind for those wise enough to seek it. a drumroll began and they blindfolded the man... then the wooden planks fell from beneath him. Most of the villagers clapped and cheered... but I didn't. On the walk home, I asked Mum what an "uprising" was. She told me not to worry my head with such things. She told me the man was a gypsy - and now that he was gone, the war would stop. The soldiers wouldn't come to town looking for him anymore and things would go back to normal. She told me I would understand when I was older, and not to let what just happened linger on my mind. She told me the gypsy knew the consequences of his actions and still chose to take that path, and that I was not to speak of it anymore. I wanted so badly to ask more questions but I knew she wouldn't answer them... Why would he take a path knowing it would lead to death? What could he have done to earn such a fate? ...and why was everyone cheering?

Lost in the Sahara In a hundred years, they'll find me Stripped of all my power The Shamen told me one day I'd lead All of you to safety... All that I am asking, should I fall You all keep fighting The orders of the royal throne condemned this man and took his home He scribbled down a little poem in hopes one day the seed would grow Into a revolution - they'd chant his rhythmic words And generations later, his voice would still be heard That farmers would unite and raise their pitchforks high They'd rally up the peasants and they'd liberate their minds We're tired and we're hungry, we live in constant fright Our leaders have been lying so we battle on this night Iron chains contain me Though I'm bruised, they will not break me Gallows Hill awaits me A crowd will gather as they hang me Don't you dare look away... All that I am asking is you watch what YOU created A generations come and gone, another crook's upon the throne The words that lingered carried on and spawned the natives of our home To follow in his footsteps and read the splintered signs To channel pain and anger into something more divine To reunite our culture and eliminate the hatred To cure the spreading sickness of their nihilistic nature We're sick of being hungry and we're sick of being poor We're tired of the tyrants, and everything they stand for
